Who operates DirectTransfer

DirectTransfer. A ride platform under development in Switzerland.

DirectTransfer is a software platform that connects independent drivers and passengers directly, with no commission on the ride and no financial intermediation of ride payments. Our mission is simple — let the person who does the driving keep what they earn, and let the person who pays know exactly where the money goes.

How the business actually works

Pure SaaS. Zero commission. Zero payment intermediation.

DirectTransfer is not a transport company and does not employ drivers. It is software as a service: drivers pay a flat monthly subscription for access to the matching and auction platform — free for the first 30 days, then CHF 39.95/month, then CHF 79.90/month. Ride payment is settled 100% peer-to-peer between passenger and driver (TWINT, card, cash); DirectTransfer never processes, holds or routes that payment, and does not require a FINMA payment-intermediation licence as a result. Revenue comes exclusively from driver subscriptions, not from a percentage of ride value.

This structure is deliberate, not incidental — it is the reason the platform can credibly claim 0% commission while remaining financially sustainable, and the reason DirectTransfer is not, and has never claimed to be, a transport operator or a payment institution.
